Renaissance inspiration in Saint-Ursanne

According to Langedul, a Flemish organ maker who produced several instruments in the Paris region between 1588 and 1630.

The choir organ of St-Ursanne is based on the organ of Creton, which is no longer playable today, but of which a first “copy” was made for the temple of Cossonay (CH).

With its very delicate, vocal harmony, this organ represents an important musical aesthetic in the history of organs in Northern France and Flanders.
