Ingeniously combining canons, fugues and a trio sonata, J.S. Bach’s Musical Offrande (Musikalisches Opfer) is the crown jewel of baroque counterpoint. Oscillating between an old “baroque” world and a new “gallant” world, Jean-Luc Ho and Le Petit Trianon join forces to make Bach and his sons hear. This program was the subject of a residency at the Abbaye de Royaumont and was performed in co-production with MaFestival Bruges and at the Bach-en-Combrailles Festival.
