The Belfort-Porrentruy region offers in local restaurants both fried carp<\/em>, a great specialty of the neighbouring Sundgau, as well as the famous cancoillotte<\/em> from the nearby Doubs plateaux, the roestis<\/em> of the Swiss hills, or the essential Alsatian sauerkraut<\/em>, served with Morteau and Montb\u00e9liard sausages<\/em>, often preferred here to knacks or Strasbourg sausages<\/em>.
Totch\u00e9<\/em> jurassien as well as platters of Doubs on the Swiss side, Flammekueche<\/em> or Kugelhopf<\/em> Alsatian, Riesling – Vin jaune – Gew\u00fcrztraminer – Savagnin – D\u00f4le <\/em>or Swiss Fendant<\/em> ? Halfway between Alsace and Jura, there will be lively discussions to accompany its Poulet de Bresse aux morilles<\/em>, its Pot\u00e9e valaisanne<\/em>, its Cheese fondue<\/em> or  Baeckehoffe<\/em>; and for afters a cheese portion of T\u00eate-de-moine<\/em> (Bellelay -CH), Comt\u00e9, Morbier or Munster<\/em> when you will have to choose between a Cherry<\/em> brandy<\/em> from Fougerolles, and a Damassine<\/em> from Pays d’Ajoie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
